Katahdin Sheep Facts
Don’t be fooled, they aren’t goats! They are hair sheep.
Katahdin sheep are a medium-sized breed of sheep developed in Maine specifically for meat production.
Their coat is shed naturally each year (not sheared) and they are renowned for their sweet temperaments and natural resistance to parasites.
Our Flock
We currently have 5 ewes who should be delivering spring of 2027, 5 wethers who will be going to butcher in January 2027 and another 2 ewe lambs born spring of 2026
Our sheep are 100% grass fed, raised on pasture.
Katahdins are known for lean, tender meat with a distinctly mild flavor due to their lack of lanolin.
