The yaks are here!!!!

We welcomed a herd of five yaks from Firebird Farms last week, and they are pure joy!

We have four cows-Bella, Brittanica, Rosanna and Elmira plus Bella’s bull calf, Zak.

It is believed Brittanica is pregnant and due any day, so stay tuned hopefully for more good news!

They spent two days in the corral getting settled and are now grazing their first paddock on the east side.

Bella is an absolute Cookie Monster and will hunt you down for treats, but still reserves when it comes time to return the favor and let us get a pet in.

Brittanica is much more reserved but will also take treats from your hand and for some reason loves to sniff shoes.

Everyone else is warming up but still too cautious to approach.
